Rules of Engagement
Rule 1: Respect the Privacy and Dignity of the Missing
“First and foremost, we’re dealing with real people. Mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends, who have loved ones waiting for them to come home. Every piece of information, every interaction, must be handled with the utmost care and respect.
Our work is not about speculation or sensationalism. It’s about truth, integrity, and compassion. Remember, these are real lives, and our actions have real consequences.”
Rule 2: Operate Within the Law
“We don’t cut corners, and we don’t operate in the gray. All research, intelligence gathering, and communication must comply with local, state, and federal laws. That includes adhering to ethical standards for using open-source intelligence.
If you’re ever unsure about what’s allowed, err on the side of caution and consult our team. It’s better to ask questions than to jeopardize the integrity of the investigation.”
Rule 3: Maintain Confidentiality
“Every case we work on involves sensitive information, and some of it is highly personal. As a member of the Guardian Angel Task Force, you are entrusted with this information. Sharing it outside of authorized channels is strictly prohibited.
We operate on a need-to-know basis. If a case requires anonymity for security reasons, respect that without exception. The trust of families, law enforcement, and other stakeholders is paramount.”
Rule 4: Submit Verified and Credible Intelligence
“Not all flags are created equal. When you’re gathering intelligence, ensure that it’s verified and credible before submitting it. Avoid rumors, speculation, or anything that lacks a factual basis.
Our AI system and internal team will review every submission, but your diligence ensures we stay focused and effective.”
Rule 5: Respect the Chain of Command
“We are a team, and teamwork requires structure. If you encounter challenges, disputes, or questions, follow the proper chain of command. There’s a process in place to ensure issues are addressed fairly and efficiently.”
Rule 6: Stay Professional at All Times
“Your conduct reflects on the entire Find Me program. Whether you’re interacting with family members, law enforcement, or other task force members, maintain professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
Remember, we’re here to help. Our approach must always be empathetic, solution-oriented, and focused on making a positive impact.”
Rule 7: Prioritize the Mission
“This mission is bigger than any one of us. Stay focused on the task at hand, and always act in a way that prioritizes the safety, integrity, and success of the operation.”
