The Idea

Missing persons cases don’t stay in the headlines. After the first few days, most cases go quiet, not because the family stops searching, but because the world stops paying attention. Miles for Hope exists to change that equation.

Miles for Hope is The Find Me Project’s endurance athletics program, turning triathlon, cycling, and endurance events into platforms for missing persons awareness. Every training block, every race, and every mile logged is tied directly to a real case and a real family still waiting for answers. We’re not just fundraising. We’re building visibility for people the world has stopped looking for.

How It Works

Fund The Search

Every pledge goes directly to TFMP’s search operations, deployments, investigative resources, and the volunteer task force that works these cases free of charge for families.

Fuel The Athlete

A small portion supports the training, recovery, and physio required to compete at the level this mission demands, because an athlete who breaks down can’t keep carrying the message.

Grow The Audience

Every event is designed around a specific local missing persons case, with a goal of driving real visibility, views, shares, tips, and community awareness, for someone who needs to be seen.

The Goal

Miles for Hope has two benchmarks driving every event. The first is to find our 5th missing person. TFMP has already helped bring answers to four families. Every mile raced under this program is in direct pursuit of a fifth.

1,000 views, one case, one community. Our first event goal is to generate 1,000 views for a single local missing persons case, proving that an athletic event can move the needle on a case that’s gone quiet. If it works once, it scales: one case becomes five, one event becomes a movement, one community becomes a region.

Meet The Athlete

Mark DeLuca

Mark DeLuca is a U.S. Marine veteran, former SWAT operator and officer, multi-accredited engineer, and founder of The Find Me Project. He is also the founding athlete behind Miles for Hope.

Mark has spent his career running toward the hardest cases: counterterrorism, trafficking, and years of missing persons search and recovery. He brings that same refusal to quit to endurance sport. Adventure racing, extreme endurance events, and now triathlon and cycling, using every finish line as a platform to put names in front of people who’d otherwise never hear them.
